Zillah Eisenstein lectures at University of Ghana

Zillah Eisenstein, Professor of Politics, delivered lectures via Skype at the W.E.B. Dubois Centre, the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA) at the University of Ghana, Legon, and the U.S. Embassy, Accra, Ghana during the week of March 15th. She was to have presented in Accra but her planes were cancelled due to storms at JFK on Sunday and Monday, March 13-14.

Her talks discussed the intersections of race, class and gender in the global economy; her activist work with women’s groups in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas, and she read excerpts of her newest book, The Audacity of Races and Genders: A personal and Global Story of the Obama Election.
