D.T. Max is a graduate of Harvard University and a staff writer at The New Yorker. He is the author of the best-selling Every Love Story Is A Ghost Story: A Life of David Foster Wallace, which the New York Times named one of the ten best books of the year and of The Family That Couldn't Sleep: Unravelling A Venetian Medical Mystery. He is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and at work on a book about Mark Twain. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, their two young children, and a rescued beagle who came to them named Max.
