Exploratory Peer Ambassadors and Leaders
How did you choose your major?
I ended up going with an emerging media major with a computation concentration thanks to the Plusses and Minuses activity in conjunction with the class visit. I was very interested in the major as soon as I first heard about it from Elizabeth and looking at all the classes I get to take and actually going to visit them sealed the deal.
What was your favorite resource to use when you were an Exploratory student?
My favorite resource to utilize would probably be the "what-if" analysis on HomerConnect, which allows me to look at any possible major/minor combination and what classes I would need to take and how well on my way I am.
What do you like most about the Exploratory program?
I enjoy the sense of community the Exploratory program provides, as the largest individual program on our campus. You get to meet plenty of other Exploratory students in the same boat as you are who you can learn from or just hang out with.
What is your biggest piece of advice to other Exploratory students?
I would advise Exploratory students not to fear about their lack of direction- coming in Exploratory was a great choice and gives you the opportunity to learn about the majors at our school and what drives you and make a well-informed decision about what to study.
What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?
In addition to the Peer Leader program, I am a general body member of the Guiding Eyes to the Blind club at our school.
