Major: Mathematics

How did you choose your major?

I had a vague idea of what I wanted to get into so I took a few classes of what I was interested in and realized I liked business and math. Talking to people in both majors and doing the pluses and minuses assignment in exploring the options helped me finalize my decision because it made me realize math should be my major.

What was your favorite resource to use when you were an Exploratory student?

My favorite resource was and still is my four-year plan. When I was an exploratory student it really helped me choose my classes wisely based on what my interests were and now it is my guide to keep me on track within my major.

What do you like most about the Exploratory program?

I like that in the exploratory program professors and/ or students are always willing to help each other out or give a little extra advice. The program has pushed me to meet new people and try out new things on campus.

What is your biggest piece of advice to other Exploratory students?

My biggest piece of advice to other exploratory students is to decide on a major that you will enjoy and succeed in. A major does not have to be the field of work you are in for the rest of your life. I am a math major and had a promotions/ marketing internship for a radio station!

What extracurricular activities are you involved with on campus?

Figure Skating Club, Field Hockey Club, Math Club, Core Trading Consultants, IC Quaints Club, Service Saturdays
