Emerson Foundation Awards Humanities Grant

The Fred L. Emerson Foundation has awarded a grant of $250,000 toward efforts by the College to enhance educational opportunities for students in the School of Humanities and Sciences.

Garry Brodhead Named Associate Provost

A 30-year member of the Ithaca College faculty and, more recently, administration, has been named associate provost. Garry Brodhead, who has served as interim assistant provost and dean of graduate studies since 1996, will begin his new duties immediately.

An Ensemble for Non-Music Majors

When the Ithaca College Campus Band made its debut with a holiday concert last December, it marked the first time that an ensemble composed chiefly of non-music majors gave a performance in the School of Music.

Juan Williams to Speak on Race Relations

In celebration of Martin Luther King's birthday, Juan Williams, one of the nation's foremost political analysts, will present "Where Do We Go from Here? Race Relations in a Fast-Changing Nation" on Monday, January 17.

Phi Kappa Phi Chapter Honors Award Winners

The Ithaca College chapter of Phi Kappa Phi presented its annual presidential scholar awards to four students in November. This year's awardees were junior Hans VanDerSchaaf and seniors Brin Tucker, Karin Chun Taite, and Dylon Curatolo.

Dance Team in National Championship

On January 7 the dance team competed at the annual College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship in Orlando and finished ninth in a field of 21 teams in the open dance category.

Gerontology Group Appoints New Members

Sonya Hicks and Joe Minogue were recently appointed to two-year terms on the Gerontology Institute Community Advisory Group.
