New HSHP Associate Dean

  The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance has a new associate dean. Patricia Green brings to the position 14 years of extensive college administrative experience; she comes to Ithaca from Hofstra University, where she taught marketing and served as senior assistant dean for undergraduate programs in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.

"A big interest of mine is in marketing," says Green. "[I will] help admissions with recruitment, [and with] getting the message out about our school." Green's strengths and interests include strategic planning, marketing of academic programs, enhancement of college online systems, and student advisement, recruitment, and retention. Green, who has taught in the public school system, also has corporate experience in the banking, brokerage, and marketing fields, as well as corporate experience in teaching.

Green earned a bachelor's degree in humanities from Hofstra, a master of arts in teaching (English) from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. in marketing and Ed.D. in educational administration from Hofstra. She holds permanent New York State certifications in secondary English (7-12) and public school administration (7-12), as well as a certificate of advanced study and professional diploma from Hofstra.
