Specialized Online Career Help

For years IC students and alumni had "Jobline," a weekly online and print publication produced by the Office of Career Services. Now there's something even better.

The new service is "eRecruiting," which has been offered to students for several years. Now's it's available free for life to all graduates as well.

"This is a remarkably intuitive system," says John Fracchia, assistant director for employer relations. It allows students, and now alumni, to access more than 12,000 jobs and internships opportunities from around the country, and to post their résumés online for viewing by employers. Furthermore, says Fracchia, eRecruiting will feature postings of job and internship openings that are available only to IC students and graduates.

Employers can post job openings, too. For the many IC alumni who are in a position to hire staff or host interns, says Fracchia, this is a great place to find recent graduates who are well prepared for launching a career, or more experienced graduates looking to advance or change careers. "We're hoping that IC grads will use it as a first resource," Fracchia says, "whether to find a great job or find a great employee or intern."

Graduates may request an eRecruiting account by contacting career services at Faculty and staff may access the system by e-mailing Fracchia at
