ICView Magazine Editor/Publisher Robin Roger Leaving Ithaca College

By Robert Wagner, July 6, 2021

Dear College Community:

I am writing with mixed emotions to let the campus community know that Robin Roger, director of news and publications and the editor/publisher of ICView magazine, will be leaving the college on July 16. Robin has accepted a position at Cornell University, where she will serve as senior associate director of communications for the College of Human Ecology.

Robin is widely known throughout the college, having worked here since 2011 in a series of progressively responsible roles. She leads the editorial strategy and the creation of engaging content employed across communications platforms, including the IC News site, for a variety of audiences comprising the college’s constituent base.

For the past 10 years, Robin has set the editorial direction and published ICView, the marquee magazine of Ithaca College read by 71,000 alumni, parents of current students, faculty, staff, retirees, and other friends and supporters of the college. In the most recent readership study of the magazine, alumni rated ICView as their No. 1 source of information and insights about the college. Earlier this year, the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 issues of ICView were recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with prestigious Silver Accolades Awards.

Robin holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree in mass communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Robin began her career as a reporter and editor for newspapers and magazines. She taught a Writing for Public Relations course in the Roy H. Park School of Communications for two years.

Members of the campus community with potential IC News stories should contact Danica Fisher ’05, associate director of public relations. You can also submit story suggestions at stories@ithaca.edu. For all ICView inquiries, please contact assistant editor Patrick Bohn ’05, MS ’07, or email ICView at icview@ithaca.edu.

We recognize and respect, value and admire Robin’s talented contributions to the IC community at large, and we are grateful for all she has done for the college for the past decade.

Please join me in congratulating Robin, and in wishing her continued success in the next phase of her progressive communications career.

Sincerely,

Bob Wagner
