Dr. Skott Jones (Associate Professor, Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology) and SLP Students Receive Meritorious Recognition by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention

Dr. Skott Jones, Associate Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and SLP graduate students Rebecca Amir, B.S. ’20, Danielle Frankel, B.S. ’20, and Jessica Fritzsch, B.S., ’20, ’22, had their upcoming presentation at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention designated as a Meritorious Poster Submission. The Meritorious Poster Submission recognition is for proposals judged by the Convention Program Committee to show extraordinary, exceptional, and innovative work. Each Topic Committee had the option of only recommending one or two top-rated posters for this special distinction. The committees received 1253 total poster submissions in 2021, and only 60 were selected for meritorious recognition. These posters received the highest ratings from Topic Committee reviewers across both submission categories of professional education and research. The group will present their work, “The Big Picture: A Survey of School-Based Speech-Language Pathologists in New York State”, at the national American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention next month.
