Guest Speaker Kaitlyn Crobar ’18 J.D
Graduate of Syracuse University Law School, NY will be joining us this Tuesday, November 30th at 12:10 pm CNS 333 will present: 

"Beyond the Lab: How Chemistry Shaped My Legal Career"

Kaitlyn graduated from IC in 2018 with a dual degree receiving a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Politics. She then went on to attend Syracuse University College of Law where she obtained her J.D. and ultimately landed a job at the Medical University of South Carolina's Foundation for Research Development as a Technology Transfer Associate. Kaitlyn will talk about her time as a student at IC; how her technical knowledge affected her law school experience; and how she leveraged those experiences to land her job. Kaitlyn will explain the basics of intellectual property law and the technology transfer field, including their importance in getting technical innovations out of the labs and into the marketplace.
