Professor Judith Pena-Shaff , Psychology, co-authors Color Paper summarizing the 2021 Presidential Task Force on  Integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and International Initiatives across the Society for the Teaching of Psychology

Through a survey to STP members, the task force assessed interest in the creation of affinity groups within the organization and determined gaps in equity and inclusion within the organization. The result of this work was a set of recommendations for STP: the creation of a process for the creation of affinity groups; the move towards inclusive representation in STP leadership and committees; broadened resources to support instructors from underrepresented groups or instructors teaching students from underrepresented groups; resources to inclusive classrooms and pedagogy; and calls for equitable and inclusive scholarship through Teaching of Psychology.

Professor Judith Pena-Shaff led the sub-committee responsible for the review of the DEI survey results and the development of the proposal for the creation of affinity groups; worked on the color paper and presented the work of the sub-committee at the annual American Psychological Association annual convention in August 2021.
