We have been monitoring the usage of parking spaces in J-lot (Towers) and are pleased to announce a parking enhancement for student parking spaces. One section of lower J-lot that is currently reserved for faculty and staff (blue), will become student (red) parking. This enhancement is only possible due to data collected showing consistent parking availability in J-lot blue and after careful review and support of the Parking Policy and Appeals Committee.
Effective Monday, November 29th, one section of J-lot blue parking spaces east of the 2nd-floor entrance to the East Tower will be switched to student (red) parking spaces. A parking map is available at: https://map.ithaca.edu/ to view the change. Faculty and staff that currently park in the section that will become student parking can continue to find parking spaces in the blue sections of lower (west of the East Tower) and upper J-lot, W-lot, F-lot, or T-lot (near Terrace 2). Additional student (red) parking is available in L-lot and L-lot extension (which is between the Terraces and the Circle Apartments near Kostrinsky Field), or A-lot (near Fitness Center). In addition, M-lot (next to A&E Center) typically has available spaces each day.
