Public Safety Investigating Swastika found in Whalen Center for Music

The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is investigating a report of a swastika scratched on a poster inside a practice room in the Whalen Center for Music. The incident was reported on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 8, 2022, and occurred sometime between the morning of Wednesday, February 2, 2022, and this date.

Public Safety is investigating the incident as a potential vandalism hate crime. The suspect(s) are unknown at this time. It is unknown if this incident is connected with the swastika discovered on the Baker Walkway on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
