Zoom Protected by Duo Starting March 17th - Brief Outage Between 7am - 8am

Starting Thursday, March 17th, Ithaca College Zoom accounts will be protected by Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and the login experience will slightly change. Zoom may be unavailable for a brief time between 7:00 am – 8:00 am on Thursday, March 17th while these changes are being made.

How does this impact me?

Following the change on Thursday, March 17th, when logging into Zoom you will see an Ithaca College branded login screen and Duo prompt like the login experience for Office 365.

  • When using the Zoom desktop or mobile app or logging in from https://zoom.us/, click Sign In and enter your IC email address, then follow the prompt for Duo authentication. You will no longer need to select “Sign in with SSO,” or be able to sign in through Google or Facebook.
  • When logging in through https://ithaca.zoom.us/ or through the Zoom link on https://apps.ithaca.edu/, click Sign In and enter your IC email and password, then follow the prompt for Duo authentication.
