Remimder - iRubric Access Ends May 31

By Jenna Linskens, May 19, 2022

As a reminder after May 31, 2022, users will no longer have access to the iRubric tool used in Canvas and our IT team will not be able to recover any files on your behalf.  Our contract with iRubric will be discontinued and no longer be included as part of the LMS list of third-party tools effective June 1, 2022. This information was previously announced in the April 12 Intercom, the January 2022 Intercom, and the January Canvas Updates for Instructors email.

Instructors who wish to keep a copy of any rubrics will need to manually download them to an IC issued computer, Microsoft OneDrive, or another location used for storage of IC files. To assist instructors with this transition the Learning & Innovative Technologies (L&IT) team has put together several resources including a guide to walk you through a few steps on how to quickly download each individual rubric. The Canvas Instructor Guide also provides a collection of resources to learn more about using the Canvas rubric tool.

Need more help? Staff members of the L&IT team will work with faculty as we transition away from using iRubric. You can contact L&IT through an IT Service Desk Request (servicedesk@ithaca.edu).
