Student Leadership Institute (SLI) Proposals due Monday!

By Jess Shapiro, August 4, 2022

Present a Student Leadership Institute (SLI) workshop about your passion topic!  This opportunity is open to staff, faculty, students, and community members.

Whether you are a staff or faculty member who wants to engage with the student body or a student who has learned valuable leadership lessons throughout their time at Ithaca College—the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) is always looking for new, interesting presentations to include as leadership workshops.  The Student Leadership Institute does not include any "required" workshops so our curriculum changes each semester based on what our campus community wants to teach and learn about!

You might also have a presentation that you are already planning for the fall semester, and we can collaborate to offer it for SLI credit and increase participation at the event!

You can choose the date and time for your workshop during Block 1 this fall (most workshops are 45-60 minutes long) and there are both in-person and virtual options available.

Interested? Here's how to get involved!

  • Pick an SLI track—Leading Self, Leading Others, Leading in a Diverse World, or Leading @ IC (descriptions are on the website)
  • Fill out the SLI Proposal Form on IC Engage—this form is due Monday, August 8, 2022 for Block 1 sessions (August 29th-October 12th)
  • All Fall Block 1 SLIs will be published to students on August 22, 2022
  • If you would like guidance on all things SLI email us at leadership@ithaca.edu
