Dr. David Earll, Assistant Professor of Music Performance (Tuba/Euphonium), has just returned from a busy tour with The Northern Lights Duo in Germany. He spent several days in Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld with the Deutsches Tubaforum teaching a large class of tuba enthusiasts and performing a world premiere of "Atlantic Crossing" by Marcus Paus alongside many other vibrant compositions for a full house!

Two musicians, one with a tuba and one with a euphonium, hold their instruments and smile while standing in small stage area, in front of an audience.

After that exciting weekend, The Northern Lights Duo continued on to work with the tuba and euphonium class at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg and to play another recital featuring the music of American and Norwegian composers. Dr. Earll and his duo partner Bente Illevold finished their tour with a day-long residency at Fachmarkt Blasinstrumente GmbH in Gütersloh, showcasing quality instruments, and closing the day with another recital of music for tuba and euphonium!
