Please join me in sending best wishes to Kristin Van Ormer, who will be saying farewell to the role of Associate Director of Student, Young Alumni, and Family Engagement on January 13. Kristin has been with Ithaca College since 2012 creating a more engaged and active young alumni community, a robust family program, and working across campus to connect students and campus partners to alumni hall.

Kristin has served on many Ithaca College committees including Campus Life Awards committee, Large Events committee, and the Commencement committee. She was part of the planning committees for the last two IC Presidential Inaugurations and the 125th anniversary celebration weekend on South Hill.

Kristin has served as the staff liaison to Admission, STAT (Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow), and the Alumni Awards Committee. Kristin was part of the IC/Convention, the Visitor’s Bureau Planning Group, and led the “It’s a Great Day to be a Bomber” Jumpstart program.

Some of Kristin’s biggest accomplishments at Ithaca College was co-creating Family Council with Jaqueline Winslow, working with STAT, and attending CASE ASAP conferences where students presented and won awards for their programs.

Kristin will be joining the Parent Philanthropy and Engagement Program at Cornell University.

We invite the entire Ithaca College community to the Alumni Hall conference room to wish Kristin farewell on Wednesday, January 11 from 3-5 p.m. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to work alongside her. Please join us in sending her off and wishing her the best for her future!
