The Park Communications Forum addresses current, unresolved, and unfolding developments and controversies across national and international media industries and academic research. It focuses on pressing issues and promotes critical analysis and public dialogues which contribute to the national conversation on the role of media in society.

A public-facing initiative, the Park Communications Forum features Park School faculty as well as faculty from other Schools at Ithaca College with a diversity of intellectual and disciplinary backgrounds to probe urgent and significant issues emerging in communications across its many disciplines, forms, and practices.

Inaugurated in 2023 by Dean Amy Falkner, the Park Communications Forum is housed, programmed, and supported by the Office of the Dean in the Roy H. Park School of Communications. This year, the Forum celebrates the move of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, now in its 26th year, to its new home in the Park School with the Festivals in Focus series in conjunction with a new Park course for FLEFF interns.
