Seeking Students Living Off-Campus to Join Ithaca College Community Work Group

By Dan DeCaria, January 31, 2023

The Ithaca College Community Work Group is currently seeking additional membership from IC students currently residing off-campus during the Spring 2023 semester. If you are a student with an interest in community building and being an advocate for the off-campus student living experience, joining this group is the perfect opportunity for you!

Interested students, please complete the brief (1-2 minute) contact form:
Ithaca College Community Work Group Student Interest Form

The Ithaca College Community Work Group has a diverse representation, which includes: South Hill community residents, local pubic servants and community leaders, off-campus students, and Ithaca College faculty and staff. The group’s charge is to identify and discuss issues specifically impacting our South Hill community, with the goals of fostering connections and positive living experiences.

The time commitment for serving on this group is approximately 1-2 hours per month, which includes a recurring single monthly meeting and the potential for additional event planning sessions. The IC Community Work Group meets virtually via Zoom on the first Thursday of each month from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. The first meeting of the Spring 2023 semester is scheduled for Thursday, February 2. Please note that the work group will continue to seek off-campus student representatives even if they are unable to join in time for the first meeting.

Serving on the IC Community Work Group is an amazing opportunity to build your resume, network with local leaders, and make a positive difference in real issues impacting the living experiences of both current and future IC students living off campus.
