ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

filmmaker

MAŁGORZATA KĘDZIERSKA  is a film, television and theater director, screenwriter and photographer. A long-term scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture in Poland, she studied at two prestigious film schools, the Leon Schiller National Film School in Łódź and the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She gained her professional experience on film sets, in television studios, and on theater stages.

Her films have received awards at numerous Polish and international film festivals in Finland, Germany, Italy, the United States, Canada, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. She is fascinated by the exploration of other cultures. She sees quality art as food for the soul both for the creator and for the recipient, a nourishing, healing, soothing experience.

She contends that in a world where destruction is still present, it is important to be surrounded by beautiful art with the power to shape and strengthen the bright and gentle side of human hearts. She sees her greatest mission and aspiration as contributing to this process.
