Colleagues, as many of you know, we have been at work throughout the semester on a charge that developed from a January summit attended by numerous IC constituencies, which was to more formally articulate our vision for shared governance and the flow of decision-making as it operates at Ithaca College.
To that end, we developed draft documents of a shared governance vision statement and a grid charting our decision-making processes, which we presented to interested community members for feedback at three different open sessions in April.
These sessions were attended by vigorously engaged and thoughtful faculty and staff members who gave us excellent and helpful feedback. That feedback resulted in a series of significant revisions to the original documents. Embedded within the Strategic Plan website, we have posted successive drafts of the statement as well as the grid on this Shared Governance Work | Ithaca College page. We hope you will take a look and leave us any further feedback at the link on the bottom of the page. Later this summer we will incorporate the final versions on the About IC | Ithaca College page.
