The next event in the Engaging Democracy and Troubling the Water series is today, Monday, March 29.

Robert McChesney, distinguished guest speaker in the Engaging Democracy and Troubling the Water series, will give his public presentation entitled "The US Media: A Political Problem Requiring Political Solutions" on March 29 at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites.

McChesney has agreed to autograph copies of his books. His most recent title is The Problem of the Media: U.S. Communication Politics in the 21st Century.

McChesney is a leading scholar and critic of the role played by the media in democratic societies. He is a research professor in the Institute of Communications Research and the Graduate School of Library Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

This event is open to the public and all are invited to attend what promises to be an interesting and informative evening.
