I would just like to add my voice to those who have expressed
their sorrow at the loss of Morgn Potter. As a father of four
children, I can only imagine the grief Morgan's parents must be
feeling, and I hope that we can all send them our love, and any
words of kindness, to help them through the terrible days ahead.

To the family and friends of Morgan Potter, I offer my sincere sympathy and support.

I did not know that I knew Morgan until I saw his picture in The Ithacan this week. I realized then that he was the fine young man who had provided the audiovisual support for the workshop on advising I led for faculty on April 11th. Morgan's expertise and helpfulness impressed me immediately. Sensing my lack of familiarity with the equipment, he even went to the extent of labeling the settings on the videotape monitor with masking tape before he departed for class.

I am so saddened by the loss of this sensitive and mature young man. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew him.

I have a brother who almost killed himself and I thank God everyday that he didn't. I couldn't imagine my life without him and we're extremely lucky that he didn't really hurt himself. I can only pray for the family and friends of Morgan Potter and hope they realize that, regardless, a little peice of him still lives within their hearts. Life does and has to go on, so hang in there and be strong. Maybe he was just too good for this world, you know?

With my deepest regards,
