Career Services is pleased to announce that 11 Ithaca College students joined the Peace Corps last year and will be serving in countries around the world.

The Peace Corps currently operates in 75 countries by invitation of the host government. They create and develop self sustaining projects in a wide array of disciplines including; education, agriculture, community development, information technology, health education, HIV/AIDS education and awareness, environmental awareness, and business development.

Since its creation in 1961, 125 graduates have served. Community members who are interested in learning more about Peace Corps service opportunities should attend the Career Services fall Career Day 2006 event on October 24, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Emerson Suites, Campus Center.
