Computer science majors Madeline Smith '10 and Andrada Voinitchi '10 have been awarded a 2007-2008 Collaborative Research Experience for Undergraduates in Computer Science and Engineering (CREU) grant of $6,500.

They will perform research in the field of rehabilitative virtual reality under the mentorship of Sharon Stansfield, associate professor of computer science.

The CREU program is sponsored by the Computing Research Association Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W) in conjunction with the Coalition to Diversify Computing (CDC), and is funded by the National Science Foundation.
