In continuing Ithaca's track record for scholarly achievements in its undergraduate athletic training program, senior athletic training and physical therapy double majors James Newton (Englewood, FL) and Courtney Woytovich (Shillington, PA) were recently awarded professional scholarships by the NYSATA and EATA, respectively. Jimmy won the Ed Abramoski Buffalo Bills Scholarship from the New York State Athletic Trainers' Association, while Courtney was the recipient of the Henry Schein Inc. Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association Wes Jordan Scholarship Award. Both awards will be given out at the 2012 EATA Annual Meeting to be held Jan. 6-9 at the Westin Hotel, in Boston MA. Congratulations on a job well done Jimmy and Courtney! In the last 3 years, 12 different National (NATA), Regional (EATA) and State (NYSATA) scholarships have been awarded to outstanding Ithaca College athletic training majors for a total of more than $22,000!
