Dr. Janet Galvan conducted over 200 women from colleges and universities on Saturday, October 27 at the Texas Collegiate Women's Choral Festival in San Antonio, Texas.  The program was called "Still I Rise" and included music by Eleanor Daley, Antonio Vivaldi, Eva Ugalde, Gwyneth Walker, Jim Papoulis, and Rosephanye Powell.  Galván rehearsed the women all day and performed a concert that evening.  Before the weekend in October, she had sent notes and pronunciation guides to help the women prepare for the day of rehearsals.  This was the second time that Dr. Galván has been the conductor for this event.
