Campus Store Temporary Help

Contributed by Michelle Hammond on 07/09/13

Do you know someone in your family or in your neighborhood who would enjoy some challenging temporary work and some extra cash?

There are temporary positions available in the IC Campus Store beginning Thursday, August 22, 2013, through Friday, August 30, 2013. Additional hours may be available until on or about Friday, September 6, 2013. These positions are to run a cash terminal, assist with shelf stocking and maintaining the store in neat order.

Candidates must be available for a 3-hour orientation session (1-4 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013.) Candidates must be available to work Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. Although scheduled work hours vary, standard weekday hours are 9 a.m. -5 p.m. Work schedules will be distributed during the orientation session.

Required qualifications: Skills and experience in cash register and cash handling; good interpersonal skills; enjoy working with the public. Some experience in retail or bookstore work and working with a point of sale system preferred.

Persons age 16 or 17 are welcome to apply but will need to have working papers to present at the orientation. Persons age 18 and older will need to have two forms of identification with them at the orientation. Ithaca College students are not eligible for these positions.

In order to be considered, interested candidates must visit our website at, search for and select the Campus Store Temporary Worker position, and complete an online application.
