We had 175 people sign in, 105 whole blood donations and 21 double red units donated for a total of 143 total units. Our goal was 140  Thank you  so much. Here is one example of how important your one doantion is!

One year ago, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Officer Richard "Dic" Donohue was critically wounded in the line of duty while apprehending suspects in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings. More than 46 units of blood products were required to help save his life. Now, as we commemorate the anniversary of this tragic event, Officer Donohue is well on the road to recovery and he is "forever grateful to donors who donate blood and platelets as part of their everyday lives."

When faced with tragedy, Americans band together to help those in need. We've seen it time and time again at the American Red Cross. Whether a house fire or a tragedy as catastrophic as the Boston Marathon bombings, the generosity of the human spirit rises in these times of need. We do not know when the next tragedy may strike. What we do know is through the generous support of volunteer coordinators like you, blood will be on the shelves and available at a moment's notice. Thank you for your continued commitment to the American Red Cross!

Thank you to all who donated blood, The drive was a huge success | 0 Comments |
