Nine current athletic training majors, 1 graduate exercise science student, 2 recent athletic training alumni and 6 athletic training faculty members will be presenting peer-reviewed, collaborative research projects at the 2019 annual meeting of the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association.

This coming weekend is the 71st EATA Annual Conference and Symposium, in Valley Forge, PA. As 5 AT Faculty and 25 AT students prepare to head to the 2019 conference, I’d like to highlight the research presence that Ithaca College will have once again on the AT profession!

  1. Katie McCall, Vanessa Brown, Jenn McKeon: Early Sports Specialization is associated with increased chance of injury in youth athletes: A CAT (UG Poster Finalist)
  2. Nathan Oaks (ES Grad Student), Jenn McKeon: Nonsurgical management of UCL injuries is tentatively successful in overhead athletes: A critical appraisal of case case series. (Grad Free Comm Winner.
  3. Natalie Sharpe, Cole Rinehart, Hannah Robison (alum), Pat McKeon: Inter-Session reliability and responsiveness of WB DF asymmetries (UG research poster)
  4. Cole Rinehart, Natalie Sharpe, Hannah Robison, Pat McKeon: Reliability and responsiveness of the star excursion balance test (UG research poster)
  5. Janie Kleinberg, Anthony Cosby, Jamie Albrecht (alum), Pat McKeon, Chris Hummel: Correlation between DF asymmetries and lower extremity injuries in collegiate women’s lacrosse players: A clinical case series (UG research poster)
  6. Jenn Gordon, Katie Dolan, Chris Hummel, Pat McKeon: Exploring the relationship between WB DF and LE injury rates in collegiate FB athletes (UG research poster)

Congratulations and well done to all involved parties for their outstanding work, and for representing Ithaca College at this professional conference!
