Café con IDEAS provides a platform for student-artists to develop and project their voice in a 45-minute set while sharing personal narratives rooted in identity and anti-oppression. Ranging from comedy, spoken word, dance and performance, song, and visual creations, each session is designed to engage the audience through creative arts and empower individuals to look inward and consider their own responsibility to social change.

*** "The Illustration of Bodily Love" by Emily Jimenez. Thursday, February 14, 2019 @12:10pm. The African Latino Society (ALS) Lounge, 1st floor of West Tower***

A mini exhibition of illustrations that display bodies in their multitudes of beauty. The idea behind this project is to correlate how strongly intertwined the mind, body, and spirit are and to highlight the effects of mental health on one's perception of their own body. In addition to artwork, Emily will facilitate a talk-back about self-love, mental health, and body image. Light refreshments will be served.
