The following message is being shared on behalf of Dr. Timothy Carey, Associate Vice President for Facilities

I am saddened to inform the campus community of the May 14 passing of Mr. Timothy Baird, an employee in the Facilities Department.  Tim joined Ithaca College in 2012 and was a hard-working and dedicated employee whose work assignments were within the residence halls.  His colleagues already miss Tim’s work ethic, his “students first” approach and his infectious laugh – traits that he brought to Bogart Hall on a daily basis.  Tim sincerely cared about students and wanted them to have the best experience possible.  He leaves a positive legacy on the department and College.

A celebration of the life of Tim Baird will be held on Sunday, June 9th from 3-6 pm at Falls Restaurant in Trumansburg.

Tim will be missed by so many of his co-workers here at IC. He was a
kind and gentle man, who always would help out a friend. He cared
about the students and enjoyed working with them and being around
them. I will miss you Tim.
