Meaningfully contribute your skills and talents to our media literacy program at the college. Our internships are immersive and grounded in real world experience!

We have two internship opportunities this spring:

Social Media and Thought Leadership:

Work with the program's director to develop regular, strategic blogs and social media posts that relate to current issues in media literacy education, and which reflect thought leadership in the field.  You will also help to develop a new online collaboration space among educators at colleges and universities that have academic degree programs in media literacy.  Please view our Facebook and Twitter pages to gain insight into the kinds of content that we post.

Media Literacy Activity (Lesson) Development:

Work with the program's curriculum writer on developing new classroom activities for integrating media literacy into the K-12 curriculum and with our director on other initiatives related to media literacy integration. The new activities will focus on topics of current concern, especially related to environmental sustainability and social justice. All curriculum is designed to teach to standards and in a variety of curriculum areas, including social studies, science and English language arts. Here are some examples of our latest published activities:

Seeing Body Image through Instagram Filters
Migrants wait in Mexico – Whose problems do we see?
Vaccinations – What Role Does Social Media Play in Informing the Public?
Google Image Searches – Do They Promote or Counter Stereotypes?

Our curriculum reaches tens of thousands of educators internationally! To view more of our activities that we publish, you can go to the program's Search page or Homepage.
