This course will consider why American health care costs so much more than similar other wealthy nations while leaving tens of millions American uninsured. The health care system in the United States is compared to that of the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Taiwan, and many other countries. The politics of pandemics and vaccinations are also covered in this course. We will also examine the contentious claim that many Americans receive too much health care.
