Need to submit a Project Proposal? We have a website for that.
Information Technology represents a significant investment. So we suggest that you submit your proposal prior to making any IT purchases. This can help avoid purchases of technology that will not integrate well with our infrastructure. Whenever you are not sure, please contact us. We will be glad to discuss your pending purchase or endeavor with you.
When considering new technology or major enhancements to existing technology, please keep in mind that we may not have resources available to assist you right away; so planning ahead would be prudent.
You can submit a project proposal by accessing the IT@IC Project Proposal Intake System using the Submit a Project Proposal link found on the right menu bar. Only Ithaca College faculty and staff can access the proposal submission area.
The online proposal form consists of a series of questions designed to give IT@IC a preliminary understanding of the nature, scope and resource requirements of the proposed project. The form is designed to be self-explanatory. We have provided an example of a project proposal illustrating how to answer many of the questions. (See the featured document on the side bar.) There is an Intro tab in the system that explains more about the entire proposal process.
While composing the proposal you can save it and return later to finish and make edits. You can add proposal team members who will be notified via e-mail that they have been included. The proposal team members will be notified of any changes made to the proposal. The system will also allow them to review and add comments to your proposal. Once the project proposal is submitted to IT@IC, the proposal cannot be modified. However, both you and your proposal team will still be able to post comments.
Should you need any further assistance please contact the IT PMO.
