Over 25% of the computers on campus are Apple Macintosh. The School of Music and the Park School of Communications typically use Mac Computers. The Park School of Communications strongly recommends a Mac laptop for all their students. Supporting Macintosh computers and applications is part of what IT does on a daily basis.
This section contains information about common Mac applications. For the most part, applications that do not appear in this section are not supported by IT. IT does install and guarantee that specialized applications requested by faculty will work in labs but there is no Service Desk or training and documentation support for these specialized applications.
The information and support levels in this section refer to college owned equipment. Training and documentation is available for personal use but, if there is a problem with an application on a personal computer, the user must work with the appropriate vendor to get the problem resolved.
