Training & Documentation

Windows Software

Over 75% of the computers on campus are Dell computers running the Windows operating system. The School of Business requires that all incoming first-year students purchase or bring a laptop equipped with Microsoft Office.

This section contains information about common Windows operating systems and applications. Some applications come with the computer but are not supported by ITS. These applications include:

  • Outlook and Outlook Express
  • Windows Movie Maker
  • Windows Media Player
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft InfoPath
  • Microsoft OneNote

Faculty and staff may use specialized applications from Microsoft but it is the individual's responsibility to purchase and install the application and to use the vendor for support.

The information and support levels in this section refer to college owned equipment. Training and documentation is available for personal use but, if there is a problem with an application on a personal computer, the user must work with the appropriate vendor to get the problem resolved

Labs and Specialized Software Requests

ITS will install specialized applications requested by faculty in the labs. Individual departments must request, purchase and provide licensing information to ITS by June 1st for the fall semester and December 1st for the spring semester.  There is no Helpdesk or training and documentation support for these specialized applications.
