National Gerontology Organization Elects Ithaca College Faculty Member to Executive Committee
ITHACA, NY — The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE) — an organization of colleges and universities that offer education, training and research programs in the field of aging — elected Ithaca College faculty member Elizabeth Bergman as one of five members-at-large.
Bergman, an associate professor of gerontology, focuses her research on the bereavement service utilization patterns, needs and preferences of family caregivers and on gerontological education and pedagogy.
Members-at-large serve as voting members of the executive committee, chairpersons of one or more of the association’s committees, and members of one or more of the committees of finance, long-range planning, annual meeting and site selection. Bergman will begin her two-year term in March.
