How to Find Courses at Ithaca College

1. Browse Ithaca College's course roster. Use the Student Guide to understand important advanced search terms, such as if a course is online or satisfies an ICC requirement.

2. Review seat availability under the Status field. If there are seats available on the day your registration form is processed, then you will be allowed to register in the course. If there are no seats available, the course is no longer open for registration. Waitlist seats (usually capped at five) indicate the number of students who are in line for seats over the maximum capacity for the course. A waitlist of more than 0 indicates that the course is already over capacity, and other courses should be considered. Seat availability is subject to change throughout the registration period.

Normally, students in nondegree study register for only one or two courses per semester. If you intend to register for more than two courses, approval from the Director of Extended Studies is required. You will be advised of additional approvals where necessary. Email oes@ithaca.edu to set up a meeting or phone call.

Online Course Restrictions

Due to state licensing of online education we cannot accept online extramural students resident in Massachusetts while the online course is in session.
