Important Dates and Fee Information

Academic Calendar

The Office of the Registrar maintains the academic calendar for every fall/spring semester and winter/spring sessions. Please review the calendar carefully to find important dates, including the first day of class, the last day to drop or withdraw from a class, refund dates, and more. 

Fees and Course Tuition

Registration Fee

A non-refundable registration fee of $50 per undergraduate or graduate course is required prior to all non-degree enrollment. This fee is in addition to the course tuition fee. Instructions on paying the fee will be provided once registration is approved. 

Registration fees are waived for IC alumni, employees, and students receiving the IC tuition remission benefit. Registration fees do not apply to students enrolling at IC through an official Ithaca College exchange program.


A non-refundable public health fee of $75 will be charged to all extramural students. This fee is in addition to the course tuition fee and will be added to the student's bill.

Undergraduate Course per credit rate

The fall 2022/spring 2023 semester undergraduate tuition rate is $1,605 per credit hour. The winter and summer session tuition rate is $600 per credit hour.

Nondegree undergraduate students are charged per credit tuition rates regardless of credit load.

Graduate tuition per credit hour is variable by program

Audit Course Fee

Extramural students can AUDIT fall and spring classes at 10% of the undergraduate cost per credit hour with permission from the instructor. This applies to both graduate and undergraduate courses. Additionally, the $50 registration fee and $75 public health fee mentioned above also apply. The audit option is not available during the winter or summer sessions

Billing and Payments


After your course registration has been processed, a bill will be generated by the Office of Student Financial Services. When your bill is ready, you will receive an email indicating that it is available to view on HomerConnect. There will be a payment deadline listed on your bill. Financial aid is not available for nondegree students.

Nondegree students with financial balances who have not negotiated a payment plan with the Office of Student Financial Services will have their registration reversed.
