On behalf of NYSACAC and Ithaca College, I’d like to thank everyone who attended our 34th Annual NYSACAC Conference in June. We’ve received tons of positive feedback on this successful event. The educational opportunities were numerous and the conference socials allowed ample time to network with each other. Plus, who will ever forget the incredible fireworks show on Wednesday night?
We truly did take our attendees “beyond the headlines,” highlighted by keynote speaker Jeff Selingo. His focus on the value gap in higher education made us all think critically about how we may provide our educational programs in the very near future. Patrick Larkin’s presentation on cyberbullying highlighted the impact technology is having on our daily professional lives. All 60 educational sessions were well attended and the new counselors’ college fair received rave reviews.
We’ve posted a copy of Jeff Selingo’s keynote slides, more pictures from the conference, and the closing slideshow here on the conference website, and we hope you enjoy reflecting on your time with us. If you were not able to attend this year, be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s conference at Canisius College June 5 through June 7. Remember, the Coming Together Conference starts on June 4.
NYSACAC is proud to offer many professional development opportunities to our members throughout the year, and the annual conference is our signature event. We look forward to planning more educational programs for you next year and thank you for your continued support.
