How to Find a Program and Apply

Getting Started

It is never too early to begin planning your study abroad experience. We strongly encourage students to start the planning process during their freshman year with the guidance of the Academic Advising Center and the Office of International Programs. This will ensure that academic progress will be made during a semester abroad.

For students who have already selected a program and have met with an academic adviser to discuss how the program may satisfy academic requirements, applying to the program is the next step.

If you have not yet selected a program, be sure to take some time to browse through the study abroad programs Ithaca College has to offer. You should also consider attending an information session, or meeting with a study abroad advisor to get more information about your options.
