Application Requirements

Step 1: Update your resume

Make an appointment at Career Services for creative ideas, feedback, or to attend a resume writing workshop.

Step 2: returning applicants can apply for orientation leader, orientation mentor, or both.

Please review the job descriptions for each Orientation Leader & Orientation Mentor here.

Once Mentors are selected, 3 will be chosen (through a separate process) to serve as Orientation Coordinators. The option to learn more about this position or apply will be within the Mentor application.

Step 3: Complete returning application:

OL Applicants will be asked to answer each of the following questions in 150 words or less:

  1. What is one way that you would foster an inclusive and respectful staff environment to support the overall Orientation program?
  2. What is (at least) one training activity or presentation that you would prioritize in developing the O-Staff training structure, and why do you believe it is so important?
  3. As a returning staff member, please express one way in which the opportunity to return will allow you to continue to develop your leadership skills?

OM Applicants will be asked to answer each of the following questions in 150 words or less:

  1. What is one way that you would foster an inclusive and respectful staff environment, and within your huddle, to support the overall Orientation program?
  2. What is (at least) one training activity or presentation that you would prioritize in developing the O-Staff training structure, and why do you believe it is so important?
  3. As a returning staff member, please express one way in which the opportunity to return will help you as you continue to develop your leadership skills?

If applying for both, you will only need to complete the OM Applicant questions.

Timeline

11/3 - Application opens at 9:00 am
12/8 - Application closes at 11:59 pm
2/3 - OM Candidates will be notified of hire decision at noon (via email)
2/10 - OM Acceptance of decision must be returned by noon (via email)
4/6 - OL Candidates will be notified of hire decision at noon (via email)
4/13 - OL Acceptance of decision must be returned by noon (via email)
