Start Your IC Experience Early

One Summer Weekend

Engage in Community Service or Explore Natural Beauty in Ithaca

July 19–21, 2019

You’re invited to participate in this pilot program to get a taste of Ithaca in the summer: Live on campus for a weekend, connect with current IC student leaders and incoming classmates who share similar interests, and enjoy social activities. Ithaca is a great place to be in the summer!

Choose whether to volunteer in or explore the natural beauty of the greater Ithaca area:

  • Volunteer: Work with an IC staff or faculty member, a small group of incoming IC students, and a community partner on issues such as housing, hunger, youth development, community healthcare, and prisoners’ rights.
  • Explore: Participate in guided hikes and other outdoor activities with IC staff and faculty and a small group of incoming IC students.

Family members and guests are invited to explore the Ithaca area on their own; separate on-campus housing for family members is available by request.

More information—including schedule and cost—will be available soon! Space is limited. Registration opens on May 20, 2019, at 9 am (EDT).
