Sunday Mass

Sunday Mass is celebrated for Ithaca College and Cornell students at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. All are welcome!

We thank Fr. Augustine Chumo and the parishioners of Immaculate Conception for welcoming us! All (including non-students) are welcome at this Mass.

Sunday Mass will be livestreamed.

Register to Attend Mass

Preregistration is required for Sunday Mass.

  • Attendance is capped at 130 persons, which is 25% of the building capacity (per NYS Dept. of Health guidelines). This capacity limit allows social distancing to be observed: every other pew is cordoned off, and congregants will be spaced appropriately within each pew.
  • Pre-registration is required to ensure we remain within capacity limits and to enable contract tracing if needed.
  • It is the job of the ushers/greeters to check-in the congregation and help people get seated with appropriate distance.
  • Cleaners will sanitize the pews before and after each Mass.
  • Singing is led by a single, masked cantor singing from within a plexiglass "phone booth" in the choir loft. This is the policy that is in place for the music ministry of the parish, and it is effective.
  • Per USCCB and Diocese of Rochester guidelines, the Eucharist is received in the hand only as the sacred Host. The chalice will not be administered. Ministers of the Eucharist will be trained on how to do this safely. They will sanitize their hands before and, if necessary, between distribution.
