Jalen is currently in his third year and pursuing a degree in English with minors in Writing and Education Studies. As his choice of studies may indicate, he loves learning, teaching, and especially enjoys reading and writing. He turns to literature not just for a good read, but as a tool to make sense of our world. He believes that language and imagination have a power to set us free. For Jalen, interfaith engagement is similarly exciting in its capacity for meaning making, building relationships, and participating in our local, national, and global communities. Jalen is originally from Queens, NY, but loves Ithaca, especially during the fall, his favorite season.
