First-year students are not eligible to live in the Terraces 3-7, Emerson Hall, Circle Apartments and Garden Apartments as the Office of Residential Life believes they will be most successful living a non-apartment setting.
All incoming students are assigned a lottery number which will be published on HomerConnect after the last Orientation session in July. You will need to refer to your lottery number and the selection calendar in order to identify when you are expected to select your room.
If you intend to select with a roommate, you will select on the earliest date of any roommate. Be aware that there is no guarantee that roommates will find a desired space available to select and that they may need to select housing separately.
If a space is not available for you to select, the Office of Residential Life will assign you to Temporary Housing after the selection process closes. The Office of Residential Life will attempt to reassign as many students as possible from Temporary Housing to permanent assignments as space becomes available.
