Return to South Hill

Ithaca College has announced plans for the 2020-21 academic calendar. Though the national situation around the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we remain committed to delivering a signature IC experience to our students in the midst of it, and will continue to prioritize flexibility, safety, and the public good.

Plan for Spring Semester

The first day of classes for the spring semester will begin with remote instruction on Monday, January 25, 2021, with on-campus instruction slated to begin Monday, February 8.

A phased move-in will be conducted in tandem over that two-week period. On February 8, instruction offerings will expand to several formats—in person, hybrid, and remote.

Further details about move-in and housing plans will be communicated by the end of October.

Adhering to State Guidelines

Our comprehensive reopening plan was developed in strict accord with guidance provided by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his New York Forward plan. Governor Cuomo has provided extraordinary leadership in helping ensure that the reopening of the state takes place in a data-driven, well-thought out and coordinated way.
