CMD Student Spends a Year Traveling the World

With a wide variety of study abroad options at their disposal, it is no surprise that a large number of CMD students take one semester to spend time away from Ithaca College’s main campus. However, Alex Light, a junior in the CMD program, is taking her study abroad experience one step further by spending a whole year traveling. Alex is enjoying her fall 2011 semester studying in London, England and she plans to come back to the United States and spend time in Washington D.C. for her spring 2012 semester.

Alex’s semester began by hectically searching for a flat when she arrived in London. While the search was a little stressful, she and her roommates quickly found a nice place to call their own that is located only a block away from Hyde Park. Since settling in she has been taking classes at the London Center and has spent the majority of her free time discovering the wonders that the city of London has to offer. Recently, over her midterm break, she even had the time to travel to and explore beautiful Italy.

During her time away, Alex has been documenting her fun adventures and discoveries. If you want to learn more about studying abroad, you can check out all the interesting stories and photos Alex has to share on her blog:
